[i] In the Riceverse, the identify of the narrator is a very important thing. This story, Interview With The Vampire is an autobiography of a Vampire, namely Louis de Pointe du Lac.
[ii] “Relationship - - mentor-to-lover” : Lestat de Lioncourt started out as Louis’ mentor in the world of being a Vampire, but they soon became lovers.
[iii] The end of The Vampire Lestat is a massive concert that Lestat, and his band (the Vampire Lestat) is throwing in San Francisco. Lestat is referred to, and referrers to himself as, a Rock Star. In later novels, he mentions that as reasons for some of his “eccentricities.”
